Plaintiff Awarded Over One Million Dollars in Lawsuit Against Zometa Maker, Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation

Orlando, FL (Law Firm Newswire) September 21, 2013 – On Friday, September 20, 2013 in Orlando Florida, Nancy Guenther was awarded a verdict of 1.3 million dollars in her suit against Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation for causing her jaw to die and be removed and replaced with a metal chain all because of its failure to warn of the dangers of its drug Zometa.

Vecchione, Esq.  tried the case to verdict against Don Fowler, Esq. and Martin Calhoun, Esq. of Hollingsworth, LLP. United States District Court Judge Gregory A. Presnell presided over the two week trial, with the jury deliberating for a day.

Upon objection by Novartis of the original unanimous verdict as inconsistent regarding failure to warn and strict liability, the jury reconvened and returned a unanimous verdict against Novartis on all counts for 1.3 million dollars.
