Lakeland, FL (Law Firm Newswire) October 11 , 2013 – The accused in this case faces multiple child pornography charges.

“Twenty-three year old Altamonte resident, Jordan Wagner, was arrested not less than three times in as many weeks by agents from the Florida Cyber Crimes Task Force. While the charges are numerous, the ones that are considered to be the most serious are transmitting harmful material to a minor, travelling to meet a minor for sexual activity and lewd and lascivious molestation,” indicated Lakeland criminal defense attorney, Thomas Grajek.

The series of charges were racked up between July and August 2013. Wagner was first apprehended and charged with ten counts of possession of child pornography in July 2013. He is alleged to have disguised himself online by wearing a wig that gave him a Justin Bieber-like appearance, hoping to appear 16-years old.

Shortly after that charge was laid, he was arrested again for soliciting a minor online for unlawful sexual conduct. At that time, the man was booked into the Seminole County Jail on a bond of $50,000. His next stop is Marion County Jail on a $172,000 bond.

“Based on the nature of the charges, and what police investigators allegedly discovered during their investigation, they have issued a public call for any additional victims to contact them,” Grajek added.

Evidence suggests he travelled to meet children, 12 to 13-year-old girls, and to exchange photos of an intimate nature, although on being questioned by police, he supposedly admitted he stalked boys and girls under 14-years-old. Wagner was arrested at his home where he had allegedly made arrangements to meet a young child at his swimming pool. His mother suggested his friends had downloaded the child pornography.

This particular case should not be considered open and shut. While there may be evidence to suggest he did attempt to solicit sex with minors, there are many unanswered questions relating to the presence of child porn on his computer and his trips.

“Perhaps someone else did download the graphic material. Perhaps he was not aware of it. Perhaps a travelling companion was a predator and not Wagner. And, did police coerce a confession out of him pertaining to his preference to boys and girls under the age of 14-years-old? Everyone, despite being accused of an offence, is still innocent until proven otherwise,” stated Grajek.

For individuals facing child pornography charges or those who have been arrested for such a crime, make sure to contact an experienced criminal defense attorney. “You have rights. My job is to defend them,” Grajek said.
