Stephen R. Walker Joins Chandler, Mathis & Zivley

Houston, TX (Law Firm Newswire) February 21, 2017 – The law firm of Chandler, Mathis & Zivley is pleased to announce that Stephen R. Walker has joined the firm.

Stephen Walker is a highly skilled civil trial attorney with extensive experience representing both plaintiff and defendants in state and federal courts. His practice is focused exclusively on business and personal injury litigation. Stephen has a proven track record of successfully trying civil cases, and he has considerable experience in state and federal court appeals. He has argued before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit and has filed a Petition for Writ of Certiorari with the United States Supreme Court.

He is a member of the Texas State Bar, and is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fourth and Fifth Circuits, and the U.S. District Court in the Eastern, Southern, Northern and Western Districts of Texas.

Stephen was raised in Austin, Texas, and he received his J.D. from St. Mary’s University School of Law, San Antonio (2000). While earning his law degree, Stephen was the recipient of the Dean’s Leadership Award and Scholarship, and he was also elected student body president. Stephen also had the pleasure of serving as a judicial intern for the Honorable Fred Biery of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas.

Upon graduating from St. Mary’s and before passing the Texas Bar Exam, Stephen was proud to serve as staff counsel and legislative aide to State Representative Tom Uher during the 77th Texas Legislative Session. A graduate of the University of Texas (BBA-Finance/BA-Spanish), he also received an MBA in Finance from Baylor University.
