Prescription Drug Abuser Plows Car Into Restaurant

According to the police report, the man was driving a 1993 Lexus at a high rate of speed, moved into a turn lane, vaulted over the median and ended up in front of oncoming traffic. His vehicle was hit by a truck and another car, before crashing into the wall of the restaurant. On the spot restaurant patrons helped pull injured people out from under the car. There were ten people who sustained serious injuries, including broken bones, spinal fractures, a collapsed lung and arm and shoulder fractures.

Witnesses told police that even when the car came to an abrupt halt, precariously balancing on a lawn chair, the motor was still revving at high speed.
