Attorney Todd J. Leonard Obtains 3,100,000 Dollar Settlement in Slip and Fall Lawsuit

The accident occurred at Newark Liberty International Airport in February 2014. Leonard’s client was disembarking from a US Airways flight. She had to disembark onto the tarmac instead of a jetway due to the small size of the commuter plane. After stepping onto the tarmac, she slipped on icy pavement and fell.

She sustained serious injuries to her back and neck that required multiple spinal surgeries, and also injured her knee. Her injuries have prevented her from continuing her employment as a kidney dialysis technician.

The case was ultimately resolved in mediation after Leonard filed suit and engaged in extensive discovery.
