Malcolm M. Crosland, Jr. Esq.

Charleston, SC (Law Firm Newswire) November 22, 2019 – Steinberg Law Firm Partner Malcolm Crosland was named the new President-Elect of the Workers’ Injury Law and Advocacy Group (WILG.) Attorney Crosland has been involved with WILG for years, serving on both the Board of Directors and Executive Committee. He is honored to be chosen as President-Elect of an organization so close to his heart.

WILG is an organization of employment attorneys who specialize in representing injured workers. Founded in 1995, the WILG helps men and women who have been hurt at work and need legal aid to get the worker’s compensation benefits to which they are entitled. Through advocacy and charity work in Washington, D.C., and communities around the country, WILG is dedicated to protecting the rights of working Americans.

Crosland started his career at the Steinberg Law Firm in 1986. He is deeply committed to representing injured people across South Carolina in state and federal courts as well as the S.C. Worker’s Compensation Commission and the U.S. Department of Labor. He has won many cases for those clients, each one representing a life interrupted and complicated by an injury many times caused by another’s negligence.

Crosland has worked extensively to preserve, protect and expand the existing workers’ compensation program through his involvement as chairperson of the Opt Out Taskforce, which fights the creation of a workers’ compensation scheme designed to eliminate the current form of workers’ compensation injured and replace it with a system completely unfair to injured workers. He was honored in 2011 with the WILG President’s Award for this work.

In addition to his involvement with WILG, Crosland has donated extensive volunteer service work with other organizations that include: The Brain Injury Association of South Carolina, Lowcountry Aids Servers, The Barrier Islands Free Medical Clinic and served as President of Injured Workers Advocates (2006-2007), the only statewide organization for attorneys dedicated to the protection of the rights of injured workers. He has received a plethora of other awards and honors throughout his exemplary career. For many years, Crosland has been consistently recognized by Best Lawyers in America and Super Lawyers.

Steinberg Law Firm congratulates Malcolm Crosland on receiving this much-deserved honor.
