The New Jersey State Federation of Women’s Clubs (NJSFWC) is the biggest volunteer women’s service organization in New Jersey providing opportunities for leadership training, education and community service through participation in local clubs, such as the Denville-Rockaway Chapter, and enabling members to make a difference in the lives of others, one project at a time. The NJSFWC has been in service for 125 years, creating an enormous difference in the lives of others.

The Woman’s Club of Denville was first organized in 1932 as a non-political, impartial group with a mandate to ensure relief was provided to the needy and jobless in Denville. The Denville group joined forces with the NJSFWC in 1947. In 2010, the Woman’s Club of Denville changed their name to reflect the broad scope of their membership and services and is now known as the GFWC Woman’s Club of Denville-Rockaway. They are a registered non-profit organization working to support the local community.

The Denville-Rockaway Club proudly stands behind and promotes education, awarding scholarships to seniors from Denville and Rockaway High Schools, those studying in the LPN program at Morris County School of Technology in Denville. Additionally, they also sponsor juniors to attend the Girls Career Institute (CGI) program at Douglass Residential College.

McCloskey and Levy discussed a wide range of services provided for local and charitable organizations. The GFWC Woman’s Club of Denville-Rockaway makes a significant impact on the lives of those locally, at the state and national level, and is always open to new members joining.
