Todd was honored to have Wendy and Steven discuss the passing of their son, T.J., as a result of committing suicide when he was 16.

Despite their unspeakable heartache, they shared their story and provided great insights on ways to prevent teen suicides. Their strength and courage is truly inspiring.

Since the Sefciks’ started their campaign on suicide and teen depression, they have spoken to over 30,000 students, educators, parents and mental health professionals. In addition to the remembering T.J. Program, Wendy was appointed by the Governor’s office to the New Jersey Youth Suicide Prevention Advisory Council, as the Stigma Free Ambassador for Montville Township and Morris County, New Jersey. Wendy also serves as a New Jersey Chapter Board Member for The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

In the next episode on Sunday, February 23, 2020, Todd will be also focusing on anti-bullying programs and suicide. The guest is Dianne Grossman, the founder of Mallory’s Army https://mallorysarmy.org/, in honor of her 12-year-old daughter, Mallory who took her own life as the result of horrific bullying.
