The Lawyer Press Release Writing List
Here are a few items to help you with your news release.
1) The Title – It all starts here. Make sure your title is declaring something and that you use a keyword. For example, “Boston Personal Injury Lawyer Wins Case”.
2) Summary – The summary should reaffirm what the title is declaring with a little extra detail. But don’t give away the story; you want the reader to view the whole piece.
3) Body – You now have 300 to 1,000 words to make your point, tell your story, and excite the reader into calling your firm or at least into visiting your website. Keep in mind that you are writing a news release for the end user – the potential client – not a newsroom editor. When your news goes out to Google News and other outlets, it is going to go in front of possible clients. Make your news interesting and keep it relevant to current events.
