Delivering More Traffic than Yellow Book Again

The reports for the fourth quarter of 2011 are out and once again, Lawfirmnewswire.com sends more traffic to law firm’s websites than the Yellow Pages and lawyer directories.

After sister company SEO | Law Firm performed their quarterly review of clients, they determined for the second quarter in a row that Lawfirmnewswire.com sent more traffic to their clients between October 2011 and December 31st (for clients that published two or more press releases each month) than any other source.

There is No I in Press Release

When drafting your first press release, you might be tempted to speak in first person. In doing so, both of these events will happen.

1) Your press release will not be approved by Law Firm Newswire or any other reputable PR service.

2) If it is approved, it will not have credibility.

How to Share Your Own News

Just because your press release is published on 230 news websites, pushed through a dozen social networks, and syndicated to hundreds of websites does not mean you cannot give it a little extra push.

When Law Firm Newswire publishes your press release, they place social networking icons at the top to encourage you and readers of your news to share it. Doing so is pretty simple, especially if you are already logged into Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn.

Your Law Firm’s Name Should be Second

When creating a title for a press release, law firms often make the mistake of putting their firm name first in the news release title.

One of the most powerful publishers that will drive the most traffic to your press release is Google News. Google News will only display the first 65 characters (about 9 words) of your press release title. Your keywords should come first or risk being pushed out of Google News’ sight.
