New York, NY(Law Firm Newswire) November 25, 2016 – The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filed an accounting fraud lawsuit against Lime Energy Co. and four of its former employees in Manhattan federal court. The SEC accused the company and its executives of improperly recognizing $20 million in revenue sooner than permitted in order to reach internal revenue targets. Lime Energy, an energy services provider, will pay a $1 million settlement. None of the former executives admitted or denied the allegations.
